As a former First Vice President at New York Life, retired Lieutenant Colonel, and economist, Tom has delivered over 5,000 seminars on his signature "Paychecks and Playchecks" retirement approach, helping Baby Boomers and seniors retire the "optimal" way. He has condensed a large chunk of his considerable knowledge into 5 books.

Rohini began her journey as a Financial Advisor with MetLife in Canada. Through mergers and acquisitions, she had the opportunity to work with some of Canada’s most respected insurance companies — Mutual Life, Clarica, London Life, and Freedom 55 Financial — before ultimately opening her own agency with Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network (DFSIN) in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia. Throughout her career, she held positions of increasing responsibility, from Sales Agent to Sales Advisor to Branch Manager, Sales Director, to Regional Manager, and eventually Managing Director.

As a Sales Coach and Financial Advisor Therapist, Rohini has had the privilege of recruiting and training new financial advisors, guiding experienced professionals to reach greater heights, and building what became a top-performing sales agency. Year after year, she was honored with both the Top Sales Agency and Top Recruiting awards — not as a destination, but as a reflection of the people she had the joy of walking alongside.

Over the course of her career, Rohini has recruited, trained, and developed more than 250 agents and many Sales Managers, the majority of whom have become successful entrepreneurs. Watching them thrive is, and has always been, her greatest achievement and her most enduring goal.

Rohini’s influence has extended well beyond Canada. She had the remarkable opportunity to consult for Jubilee Insurance in Kenya, where she helped reshape their sales training, reformed their sales manual, and worked closely with Branch Managers and Advisors across Nairobi and surrounding cities — a testament to her belief that financial empowerment knows no borders.

Throughout her journey, one mantra has remained constant: women need to be financially independent all over the world.

Today, Rohini channels that conviction into her work as The Financial Empowerment Podcaster for Women’s Wealth & Kids Financial Knowledge. Driven by her passion for amplifying the voices of those who have chosen to share their success stories, Rohini has recorded podcast episodes across five continents — in Kenya, throughout Asia, across the United States, in Central America, and in Canada. Her guests are the women and men who have built something remarkable and are willing to speak openly about how they got there. Through these conversations, Rohini brings their hard-won wisdom to listeners around the world, dedicated to empowering women to own their financial future and planting the seeds of financial literacy in the next generation.

Activities & Societies: Rohini served as Chairperson of the Juvenile Diabetes Association of Victoria for one year, raising significant funds and supporting the charity for over 10 years. She was an active member of the E Women’s Network and a dedicated supporter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Victoria Art Gallery.

Continuing Education: Rohini has pursued continuous professional development throughout her career, earning certifications and completing programs through CAIFA, LUATC, LIMRA, AMTC, CFP, and CSA.

This book is a natural extension of that mission — because every woman deserves the tools, the knowledge, and the encouragement to rise.
